Legal regulations and basic operating principles of the EcoAction recycling machine for the user.

  • What is a deposit return system?

    The deposit system is a mechanism that promotes the recycling and reuse of packaging. It was launched in Poland in October 2025. At that time, drinks in packaging covered by the system will begin to appear in stores.

  • What packaging does the device accept?

    The reverse vending machine accepts PET packaging and aluminum and steel cans covered by the deposit system.

  • How to use the RVM?

    You should insert all the deposit packaging you want to return, then press the "Receive voucher" button on the display.

  • Does the machine accept crushed packaging?

    The machine accepts only crushed cans. Bottles that are partially crushed will be accepted, provided the barcode is not damaged. To facilitate returns, the device has a built-in bottle shape restoration module using compressed air.

  • Do I need to press anything to start it?

    No, the machine is active 24/7.

  • What do I get in return for using the RVM?

    The basic reward for using it is a voucher generated after returning the packaging and pressing the "Issue voucher" button, which we can use at the checkout when shopping. Any additional benefits depend on the operator and the client who purchased the device.

  • What to do if the RVM does not accept the packaging?

    Make sure the packaging belongs to the deposit system, which will be confirmed by a special mark, and also ensure that the barcode is undamaged and not bent. Then try again.

  • Can the RVM be full? What to do then?

    If the RVM becomes full, its operation will be suspended until emptied by the staff. This does not take longer than 10 minutes per day.

  • Who to contact in case of an RVM breakdown?

    A malfunction can be reported to the staff of the point where it is located or to the number indicated on the display (depends on the arrangements with the client).

  • What happens to the packaging after it is inserted into the RVM?

    The packaging is stored in the device until it is emptied. Then they begin their journey to regain usefulness.

  • Do these packages actually get recycled?

    Yes, all collected packaging is part of the closed loop existing within the deposit system.

  • Is it safe for me?

    Yes. The user of the RVM does not come into contact with the elements inside the device. The RVM meets all safety standards in force in the European Union.

Device acquisition rules and basic data on installation and operation

  • How much does an RVM cost and what does its price depend on?

    The price of the RVM can be obtained after contacting us to receive a quotation. All contact details are in the Contact tab on the ecoaction.pl website. Factors that influence the price are order size, configuration and special customer requirements.

  • What are the benefits of purchasing an EcoAction RVM?

    Our device, as the only one on the market, has such a high compression rate, providing unparalleled capacity in such a small size, and consequently reducing the space needed to store collected packaging. Thanks to this, we eliminate the need to prepare additional storage space on the retail unit`s premises, and also minimize the frequency of emptying and the need for employee handling.

  • What is the average weight of a bale created from collected packaging?

    About 50 kg.

  • Does the weight of the bale not hinder transport?

    No, due to its dimensions. The bale can be easily transported with a pallet truck and stored on a pallet. There is no need to lift it.

  • Is it possible to buy the RVM outright, or only lease it?

    We offer both the possibility of purchase and leasing of the devices.

  • Who most often buys RVMs and why?

    RVMs are purchased by retail units covered by the deposit system. Additionally, any entity interested in participating in the deposit system can use our RVM and the advantages it offers.

  • How often should the RVM be emptied?

    Based on estimates from the recently introduced deposit system in Slovakia, raw material collection devices accept an average of 1000 packages per day. In such a case, the device should be emptied once every two days.

  • What type of packaging was used to calculate the capacity of 2000 packages?

    The device capacity was tested based on a mix of packaging consisting of 90% 1.5L PET bottles due to their popularity.

  • Can the RVM be integrated with loyalty systems or mobile applications?

    Yes, the device can be integrated in any way according to customer requirements.

  • What are the operating costs (energy, maintenance, repairs)?

    The cost of collecting 2000 packages (one full load) is the cost of: 2.5 kWh of energy, 10 minutes of employee working time, two cardboard spacers and two strips of strapping tape. Repairs are detailed in the warranty terms.

  • Does operating the RVM require training?

    Yes, brief training on emptying is necessary. Additionally, the device has voice prompts and visual aids that facilitate its operation.

  • Is it necessary to provide special conditions (power supply, location)?

    The only things needed for the device to work are a 230V connection and a flat surface of appropriate dimensions.

  • What material is the RVM housing made of?

    Aluminum and galvanized steel.

  • Is the RVM resistant to weather conditions (rain, frost, high temperature)?

    Yes, the device can operate in both external and internal conditions. It does not require additional housing.

  • Can the RVM automatically sort packaging into different types?

    The device collects all packaging into one container, sorting is done at the recycling center.

  • Does the pressed waste not hinder its separation?

    No, our solution has been tested in this regard and has received highly positive feedback regarding its processing.

  • Does the RVM have internet access, e.g., to report malfunctions or being full?

    Yes, the device has the capability to connect to the Internet using WiFi, a SIM card, or an Ethernet cable.

  • Can the RVM operate independently without constant operator supervision?

    Yes, the device is completely unattended from the customer`s side, except for its emptying.

  • Are the components used in the RVM highly durable?

    Yes, the entire device structure was designed with the intention of working failure-free for as long as possible.
